Renovations at the Hewitt School in Manhattan
modernized classroom and laboratory areas. The project provided
new generation facilities, including language classrooms,
high-tech science laboratories, and a new learning center.
The project was designed by working closely
with the school's faculty to develop classrooms and science
labs with state-of-the-art technology, supporting both current
and emerging innovative curricula. New capabilities include
networked computer stations linked to large video display
terminals, laser disc players, and provisions for teaching
via laptop computers. The learning center houses programs
for students with special needs and also supports the work
of students developing independent projects.
