Mount Sinai Medical Center's new 23,000
s.f. Outpatient Imaging Center provides a full range of state-of-the-art
diagnostic imaging capabilities in a pleasing skylit environment.
The project serves both Hospital and Private
Practice patients in separate areas with shared support functions
between. Included are four actively shielded 1.5 Tesla MRI
units making this the largest installation of this type of
MRI in the world. Located beneath the plaza level, the MRI
rooms are lit by large skylights, which double as access hatchways
for delivery and service of the units. Other imaging modalities
include Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, CT Scan
and conventional X-Ray.
