The state-of-the-art Heart Institute is outfitted with two technologically advanced cardiothoracic operating rooms, two angioplasty rooms supported by cardiac catheterization units, a 10-bed cardiac cath holding and recovery area and a 10-bed cardiac surgery recovery area. These programs occupy two floors and 30,000 sq. ft. of a new, 103,000 s.f., six-story patient services tower.

Other floors of the patient services tower contain a 16-bed Coronary Care Unit, a 20-bed Medical/ Surgical/Neurological Intensive Care Unit and a Rehab Therapy and Renal Dialysis Unit. An Image Guided Surgical Suite consisting of single plane and bi-plane Angiographic rooms, an Intraoperative MR room and a CT / Fluoroscopy room and the ground floor.

A two-story Radiation Oncology wing, expanded by 30,000 s.f., adds two new linear accelerators for a total of five linacs as well as two new simulator rooms, support spaces for the physics department, examination rooms, and an additional waiting area.
