  Norwalk Hospital

The renovation project for Inpatient Radiology services was constructed in four phases in the area of the current department. Continuous operation was maintained throughout the 30-month construction period. The project includes six Radiofluoroscopy, four Angiography, four CT, and five Ultrasound suites. The multi-phase, 45,000 s.f. project increases the hospital's capabilities to better diagnose and treat patients, effectively bringing it into 21st Century.

The project schedule was fast-tracked to bring new technology on-line as rapidly as possible. Simultaneous programming and planning was completed in a 10-week period with 50% construction documents completed five months after project inception. An Education Center, including a Lecture Room and Billing component, was operational eight months after the project's inception to facilitate the early start of Phase I Procedure Room construction.
